ATA Connection Sets Record

INDIANAPOLIS—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Nov. 7, 2002—ATA Connection (Chicago Express Airlines, Inc.), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ATA Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq:ATAH), today reported that it has set another company record. In October, the regional airline carried more than 90,000 enplaned passengers (the total number of revenue passengers boarding an aircraft) system-wide. This record high surpasses the previous service record set in July of this year, with 89,000 enplaned passengers.

“ATA Connection has been aggressively working to achieve this important milestone,” said Gary Marsh, ATA Connection`s President. “The demand for service has been high, and our customers have responded phenomenally to our recently added destinations and frequencies. As we look to the future, we eagerly anticipate breaking this record once again.”

ATA Connection currently provides regional airline service between Chicago-Midway and 13 Midwestern cities. During the last six months, the carrier added five new destinations, including Moline, Ill., Toledo, Ohio, Flint, Mich., Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Lexington, Ky. And due to customer demand, an additional daily flight has been added to both Toledo and Flint since their inception in June and July, respectively.

Now celebrating its 30th year of operation, ATA is the nation`s 10th largest passenger carrier based on revenue passenger miles. ATA operates significant scheduled service from Chicago-Midway and Indianapolis to over 40 business and vacation destinations. To learn more about the Company, visit the website at www.ata.com.
