Its lights, camera, action and only Africa’s best musicians in the spotlight.
The Kora All Africa Music Awards showcases Africa’s musical talent and who better to have behind it than the Best Airline to Africa, South African Airways (SAA).
“In the same way that SAA is building strong networks in Africa, music unites people across the world,” said Victor Nosi, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Communications.
“As the Best Airline in on the continent we believe in bringing people together and what better way to do than through music.”
The prestigious music event takes place at Gallagher Estate in Midrand, Johannesburg on 2 November and will highlight not only African Music on the continent but globally as well.
There are 21 awards under 21 categories, each consisting of four to six artists form around the world. Kora’s selection committee based in Johannesburg selects artists.
The award ceremony will be broadcast across Africa, the US, Europe and Asia via satellite ensuring widespread coverage of musical talents the continent has to offer.
The Kora Awards has been around since 1994 and is internationally recognised as an equal to that of the Grammy Awards in America.
