Lufthansa is introducing innovations in its inflight entertainment programme on November 1. Three new music channels, jointly created in cooperation with Sony Music, will be on tap in the audio programme.
“Lounge” (channel 8) will be offering “Bar Lounge Classics, Vol.3” with relaxing music and Bar Jazz Classics. This programme will also be broadcast on loudspeakers to passsengers boarding or disembarking from flights on Boeing 747s and the Airbus A340.
The 16th in the successful “Kuschelrock” series will be available under the “Ballads” title on channel 9 and, right in time for the yuletide festive season, passengers will enjoy listening« to the “Album Special” on channel 10 featuring “Wonderful Christmas Dreams” with international pop celebrities and soul stars in November and December. Select Sony music productions in the Lufthansa inflight entertainment programme can also be bought in future from the Miles & More and SkyShop catalogue.

Yet again for the umpteen time, Lufthansa has been lauded by the World Airline Entertainment Association (WAE) for its monthly “Magazine on Air”. It has been awarded a bronze Avion Award, the “Airline Oscar” in the category “Best Magazine Style Program”. The Lufthansa video magazine comes in two versions featuring entertaining information on technology, economics, people and travel.
