Delta and Aeromexico New Codeshare

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced today it will begin new codeshare service between San Diego and Loreto, Mexico, on Aeromexico operated aircraft, effective Nov. 14, 2002. Delta also offers codeshare service to Loreto from Los Angeles, via Hermosillo, Mexico, on flights operated by Aerolitoral, Aeromexico’s regional partner.

Pending government approval, Delta plans to offer additional Aeromexico codeshare service between San Diego and Mazatlan, Mexico, beginning Nov. 12, 2002.

“Delta continues to expand its network into Latin America and the Caribbean, offering customers additional service between the U.S. and Mexico,” said Arnaldo Ruiz, Delta’s general manager - Alliances - the Americas, “Delta’s goal is to continue offering passengers seamless travel options to and from the most desired places in the region and throughout the world, whether on Delta or partner operated aircraft.”

Also, Delta recently announced it would begin Saturday-only service between Atlanta and Curacao, The Netherland Antilles, on Delta operated equipment, effective Jan. 11, 2003.

Earlier this year, Delta also introduced new and expanded service for customers traveling to the Latin America and Caribbean region, including flights to three new Delta destinations, including Liberia in the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica; Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands; and St. Maarten, The Netherland Antilles, as well as codeshare operated service between the New York area and Montego Bay, Jamaica, and between Antigua and Curacao via Montego Bay, operated by partner Air Jamaica.
