Winter Tickets with americawest.com


America West (NYSE: AWA)
announced today that it is offering specially reduced Internet fares to Aspen,
Colo.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Denver.  These reduced fares are available
for booking now through Oct. 27 for travel from Oct. 28, 2002, through
Jan. 17, 2003.

A seven-day advance purchase and one-night stay are required.  The maximum
stay is 30 days.  The blackout dates are listed below.

Customers who take advantage of these special deals will also receive
3,000 FlightFund bonus miles for every roundtrip ticket purchased at
americawest.com with travel completed by Dec. 31, 2002.

*Sample fares are each way, based on a roundtrip purchase and do not
include Passenger Facility Charges of up to $20 per itinerary, the
September 11 Security Fee of $2.50 per segment, up to $10 per itinerary or
federal excise taxes of $3 per segment.  A segment is defined as a takeoff and
a landing.  Blackout dates are Nov. 27, 30, Dec. 1, 2, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29,
2002, as well as Jan. 2, 3, 4, and 5, 2003.  Seats are limited and may not be
available on all flights or in all markets.  Flights may be provided by
America West Airlines or America West Express, which is operated by Mesa Air
Group and Chautauqua Airlines.  Tickets are nonrefundable and subject to
change fees.
