America West Holdings Corporation (NYSE: AWA) will conduct a live audio
webcast of its third quarter 2002 earnings conference call with the financial
community on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002 at 4:00 p.m. EDT (1:00 p.m. PDT).

The webcast will be available to the public on a listen-only basis at the
company`s Web site, http://www.americawest.com .  An archive of the webcast will be
available on the site through Oct. 21, 2002.  Listeners to the webcast will
need a current version of Windows MediaPlayer software and at least a
28.8 kbps connection to the Internet.

Additionally, America West will make available on its Web site a number of
charts and graphs depicting the company`s financial performance and
operational improvements.  These visuals will be available at the
public/investor relations section of the Web site after the company`s earnings
are released.
