America West Extends Its Internet Sale


America West (NYSE: AWA)
announced today that it is extending its Internet fare sale for four new
markets for another week.  These introductory fares are available for new
service in Medford, Ore., which began on Oct. 1, as well as Billings, Mont.;
Pittsburgh; and Calgary, Canada, where service will begin on Oct. 27.

America West Express, which is operated by Mesa Air Group, is providing
service in Medford and Billings using the 50-seat Canadair Regional Jet.
America West Airlines will provide service in Pittsburgh and Calgary using the
Airbus A319 aircraft which features seating for 12 in first class and 112 in
the main cabin.

Specially reduced fares are available for sale at americawest.com from now
through Oct. 13 for travel through Dec. 15, 2002.  A seven-day advance
purchase and one-night stay are required.  The maximum stay is 30 days.  The
blackout dates are Nov. 27, Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, 2002.

Customers who take advantage of these special deals will also receive
3,000 FlightFund bonus miles for every roundtrip ticket purchased at
americawest.com with travel completed by Dec. 31, 2002.
