Flybe. voted ‘Best Shorthaul Airline 2002’
Flybe. has scooped another prestigious industry accolade. The airline, Europe’s largest independent regional carrier, was last week named the ‘Best Shorthaul Airline 2002’ by the Institute of Travel Management (ITM). This tribute follows the Business Travel World awards, which ranked the airline as Short-Haul Business Carrier of the Year for 2002.
In a worldwide study, taking more than a year to complete, ITM members examined short haul airlines across Europe and the US on a range of factors.
Jim French, flybe.‘s Managing Director, said: “This award is particularly significant to us as the ITM is such a well respected voice of the industry. flybe. has relaunched this year and this award is further evidence that both the industry and our passengers like the changes we have introduced. I would like to thank all flybe. employees who work exceptionally hard to make ours a quality airline.”
Flybe. has principal operating bases at Birmingham, Belfast City, London City, the Channel Islands and Scotland. The airline carries more than three million passengers a year on its network embracing 18 domestic and 13 international destinations. Its fleet of 31 aircraft operates more than 1,000 flights each week. Passengers can book online at www.flybe.com, by calling reservations on 08705 676 676 or by visiting travel agents.
