Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today appointed two officers to its senior management team, and reorganized several core operational functions. In their new capacities, the three individuals will report directly to Frontier President Sam Addoms.
Ann E. Block will assume additional duties as vice president, human resources and flight services. Block, 50, has served as vice president, human resources for the airline since April 1999. In her expanded position, Block assumes the additional responsibilities of inflight services, catering and reservations. Block has over 25 years of human resources, general management and customer service experience and holds a bachelor`s degree in sociology from the University of Southern California. She was named Executive of the Year by the National Management Association in 1992, and is also a past recipient of the YWCA`s Women of Achievement Honoree Award. She currently serves on the board of Human Services, Inc.
Elise R. Eberwein assumes the newly created position of vice president, communications. Eberwein, 35, has served as director, corporate communications for the airline since July 1998. In her new position, Eberwein will oversee the airline`s media, shareholder, community and consumer relations programs. She will also lead all internal communications programs, and oversee the airline`s government affairs. Eberwein brings nearly 15 years of aviation experience to her new position, and began her career as a flight attendant for TWA. She holds an MBA from Colorado State University and a bachelor`s degree in communications from Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo.
Sean E. Menke assumes the newly created position of vice president, market planning and revenue management. Menke, 31, has served as director, planning and scheduling for the airline since January 1999. In his new position, Menke will oversee all market planning, pricing and yield management functions. In addition, he will lead the airline`s strategic alliance initiatives. Menke brings nine years of aviation experience to his new position and holds dual bachelor`s degrees in economics and aviation management from Ohio State University. He is currently enrolled in the executive MBA program at the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, and will complete that program in August 2001.
