Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) today announced the resignation of B. Ben Baldanza, 37, from its board of directors, effective October 11, 1999. Baldanza was recently named senior vice president, marketing for Arlington-based US Airways.

“We are extremely grateful to Ben for his contributions to Frontier,” said Frontier President Sam Addoms. “During his term, he provided an excellent combination of astute business acumen and broad airline industry experience. We wish him all the best in his new endeavors with US Airways.”

Baldanza added, “The employees of Frontier should be justifiably proud of the extraordinary operation that they have put in place and I feel honored to have been a part of their most recent success.”

With Baldanza`s departure, the airline`s board will now consist of five outside members, including Chairperson B. LaRae Orullian, and one inside director, company President and CEO Sam Addoms, for a total of six directors.
