Frontier Airlines Names Director, Material Management

Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq: FRNT ) has named Michael G. Fitzpatrick as director, material management, effective immediately. Fitzpatrick brings over 15 years of materials and purchasing management experience to the airline and most recently served as materials manager for COBE B.C.T. in Lakewood, Colo., a medical device manufacturing company that provides products to the blood banking industry. Fitzpatrick, 49, will oversee the airline`s general and technical purchasing and will directly report to Chief Financial Officer Steve Warnecke. Fitzpatrick replaces Roland Mease, who has been named director, material planning for aircraft acquisition. In his new position, Mease will report to Vice President Maintenance and Engineering Jon Bartram.

“Mike brings a significant amount of purchasing and supply chain management expertise to Frontier and we look forward to his contributions as we grow the airline and continue to manage our parts and inventory systems as efficiently as possible,” said Chief Financial Officer Steve Warnecke. “In addition, it is important for us to begin preparing for the airline`s future inventory needs as we plan for our transition from a Boeing 737 fleet to an Airbus A319 and A318 fleet and Roland will help us in this endeavor.”


Fitzpatrick holds a bachelor`s degree from the University of Iowa. He is a member of the American Production and Inventory Control Society and is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). Fitzpatrick currently resides in Evergreen with his wife Bonnie.
