Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Virgin Atlantic Airways will launch their first codeshare service on 1 October 2001, subject to government approval. In addition, the two airlines, both well known for their product innovation and customer service, have been working together to implement a wide range of travel benefits for customers.

These include enhanced frequent flyer benefits, an expanded network, access to more airport lounges worldwide, better connections, and a seamless travel experience across their networks.

The codeshare is in Economy Class on the route between London and Singapore. It will allow Virgin Atlantic to offer three-times-daily services by placing its VS designator code on SIA`s three daily services between London and Singapore.
