Who said Africa can`t have it`s own Royal Wedding? This South African Airlink achieved recently in their newly formed alliance with Royal Swazi National Airways. Their goal - to boost Swaziland`s international air connections.
The Swazi Cabinet, selected South Africa`s premier feeder airline - SA Airlink - as the `preferred partner` for the joint venture out of 14 other sub-regional airlines. The alliance move aims to provide improved quality and quantity of air service between Swaziland and the rest of the world through a sustainable viable operation.
SA Airlink`s CEO Roger Foster said that SA Airlink would provide essential infrastructure on an outsourcing basis to the new venture.
“Swaziland will now be linked to the entire world through the Johannesburg International Airport hub and a seamless service provided by the SAA - SA Express - SA Airlink alliance and its related facilities. Not only will flights from Matsapa be increased but the schedules will be better coordinated, which will also vastly improve global connections offered to the Swazi nation.” added Mr. Foster.
Airlink Swaziland has announced the flight schedules for the Johannesburg-Manzini route which came into force on 11 July 1999.
