Spirit Airlines is recognized as the carrier with the highest load factor in the industry according to Aviation Daily and ECLAT Consulting. Spirit reported March 2002 traffic figures with an 83.1 percent load factor.
The U.S. National and Regional Carriers Traffic and U.S. Major Carriers Traffic report of April 16, 2002 identifies Spirit as the industry leader with the highest load factor of the 29 reporting carriers for March 2002.
Additionally, on-time arrivals for Spirit increased to 81.0 percent for March 2002, a 2.5 percent from February 2002 on-time arrivals of 78.5 percent. “Load factors and positive system-wide performance statistics are vital to the airline industry as a whole and key to Spirit’s success,” said Tom Anderson, chief marketing officer of Spirit Airlines. “We will continue to monitor these rankings and build Spirit’s brand and reputation for safe, reliable and low-fare service,” continued Anderson.
