US Airways Names McDougle Vice President-Purchasing

US Airways named Jeffery A. McDougle today as its vice president-purchasing, in charge of all the company’s purchasing programs, ranging from jet aircraft and engines to communications services and ticket jackets.

“Jeff has done superb work during his tenure as the company’s vice president and treasurer and it bodes well for the company to have his proven skills available to take on the very important purchasing role at this time,” said US Airways Chairman and CEO Stephen M. Wolf.


McDougle was named vice president & treasurer in May 1999. In that position he was responsible for US Airways’ capital markets and aircraft financing, insurance programs, risk and cash management, pensions and investments programs.


Prior to joining US Airways in April 1998 as assistant treasurer, McDougle held various positions at Northwest Airlines, including managing director of corporate finance. He also held management positions at United Airlines, including staff executive - corporate finance.


McDougle, 45, is a native of Parkersburg, W. Va., and holds both a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from West Virginia University.
