Vanguard Airlines Reports Record Passengers During Fourth Of July Travel Period

Kansas City, MO—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VGDA) today reported record passenger numbers during the Fourth of July travel period. From July 3 to 7, Vanguard transported nearly 36,000 passengers, a 76 percent increase from the same period last year. The Company’s average load factor for the period was 82 percent. During the five-day period, Vanguard posted an on-time performance rate of 82 percent for arrivals within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

“We continue to set records as passengers embrace our low fares and convenient coast-to-coast service,” said Scott Dickson, Chief Executive Officer and President of Vanguard Airlines. “Sunday, July 7, was the single busiest day in Vanguard’s history, and we expect to be near capacity again today with an anticipated 96 percent system load factor. I want to commend our employees, who worked extremely hard during the holiday to give our passengers the best possible service.”
