Kansas City, MO—Vanguard Airlines, Inc. (NasdaqSC: VNGD) reported that traffic for the month of November 2000 increased 14 percent to approximately 78.2 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in November 2000 from approximately 68.9 million in November 1999. Capacity increased 15 percent to approximately 138.5 million available seat miles (ASMs) in November 2000 versus 120.2 million in November 1999. Load factor decreased approximately 0.8 points to 56.5 percent in November 2000 from 57.3 percent in November 1999.

Year-to-date RPMs increased 13 percent to approximately 886.5 million in 2000 from approximately 785.9 million in 1999. Year-to-date ASMs increased 27 percent to approximately 1,488.2 million in 2000 from approximately 1,175.6 million in 1999. Year-to-date load factor decreased approximately seven points to 59.6 percent in 2000 from 66.9 percent in 1999.

Kansas City-based Vanguard Airlines, which began service in December 1994, is a value-priced, 100 percent ticketless passenger airline.
