As of January 15, Asiana Airlines implemented a code sharing agreement with China Eastern Airlines on its Daegu-Shanghai and Cheongju-Shanghai routes. With this agreement Asiana had doubled the number of its weekly flights on the Daegu-Shanghai route from two to four (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday). In conjunction with China Eastern Airlines, Asiana has also inaugurated a twice-weekly service (Monday and Friday) from Cheongju to Shanghai. As a result Asiana now flies 74 times a week to 15 different destinations in China, and increase of four flights and one additional destination.
