SAA Web-Only Fares Sold Out

20th Sep 2002

2002, JOHANNESBURG: Less than a month after South African Airways (SAA) published its web-based fares, they are sold out.

The domestic fares, published on SAA’s website,, were valid until the end of September. Ten days after they were advertised, 87 % of the fares were sold. At the time a return fare to Durban cost R630 and Cape Town R1130. Three weeks later they have all been snapped up.

However, SAA loyal customers traveling abroad can still participate in the Off Peak Perk.

SAA’s latest companion discount promotion allows partners to travel together on an overseas destination (except London) between 15 April 2003 and 30 June 2003 at 50% less than the price of the ticket.

For every two sectors a passenger flies in a full economy or business class ticket on SAA domestically or to Namibia, Zambia or Harare between 9h00 and 14h30, Monday to Thursday from 1 September and 31 October this year, the partner will qualify for a 50 % discount internationally except London..

For more information, contact SAA reservations: Johannesburg (011) 978 1111, Durban (031) 250 1111 or Cape Town: (021) 936 1111.
