Jung von Matt Chosen as SWISS’s Ad Agency

SWISS has selected its new advertising agency: Jung von Matt/Limmat AG.  The commission was awarded following a three-step procedure involving eight candidate agencies.

A total of eight agencies were initially invited to pitch for the SWISS account. The candidates were asked to present a long-term creative strategy for SWISS’s institutional advertising.  The aim is to link the new campaign seamlessly into the “Swissness” that has already been built up around the new SWISS brand, and to publicise ongoing enhancements and innovations.

SWISS has been operating as an intercontinental airline since March 31.  The first few months have seen the new SWISS brand successfully established, with a broad range of associated communications activities.  In a second phase, the company will now be focusing on developing its overall identity in marketing communications terms.  The new phase is set to be launched in autumn and winter 2002-3.

Dominique von Matt, co-owner of the Jung von Matt/Limmat agency, was named Switzerland’s “Advertiser of the Year” in 2001.  The first implementations of the new advertising concept are expected by year-end. Wink Media will remain SWISS’s partner agency on the corporate identity front.

SWISS’s key advertising contacts are: - Markus Rege, Head of Marketing & Communications - Reto C. Meister, General Manager Marketing Communications and
- Priska Heger, Advertising Manager.
