Air New Zealand Operations on 11 September


Air New Zealand is sending messages of condolences to the two United States airlines whose aircraft were seized and crashed in the terrorist attacks on 11 September last year.
“We will be sending our sympathies to both airlines who lost crew and passengers in last year`s horrific attacks - to our industry colleagues at American Airlines and our Star Alliance partner United Airlines headquarters in the United States,” says Air New Zealand Chief Operating Officer Andrew Miller.
As a further gesture of sympathy Air New Zealand crew are also recording their personal thoughts and expressions of support to send to their colleagues at United Airlines in Auckland and London.
“While Air New Zealand will be operating our normal schedule of international and domestic services, including services through Los Angeles, to meet customer demand on 11 September, we also want to acknowledge that this is a day of special significance and sadness in the world airline industry,” Mr Miller said.
