bmibaby Appoints Local Cabin Crew For Cardiff Base

bmibaby has appointed its first 27 cabin crew so far to fly from its new Cardiff International base when operations start in October. Of that number bmibaby welcomes 13 new crew from Wales and the surrounding area.
The crew who has been selected will now go on to complete a training course to ensure that they are fully proficient for the start of operations on 27 October.
Speaking on the appointments, Tony Davis, managing director, bmibaby said:
“We are pleased that so many cabin crew have come to us from Wales and the surrounding area. I think it shows that people living here want to be a part of the bmibaby success and we are pleased to boost local employment. bmibaby is obviously a popular choice in the airline industry as several of our new employees in Wales will be joining us from competitor airlines, such as Go and BA.
We are now looking forward to operations getting underway next month. With the encouraging start to bookings that we have had and the warm welcome that we have received we are confident that we will have a great relationship with Wales for many years to come.”
bmibaby also welcomes 14 cabin crew who have transferred from bmi operations elsewhere in the UK. Many of the internal applicants are bmi employees who are from Wales and have taken the opportunity to return home to work.
