Ryanair Announces Winter Schedule

Ryanair, Europeå‘s only really low fares airline, today announced (5th of September, 2002) details of its 2002 Winter Schedule, which will see over 7 million low fare seats on offer from London to Europe.
The airline also announced a new twice-daily service from London Stansted to Strasbourg. Ryanair currently flies to seven destinations in France and will carry almost one million passengers between France and the UK this year. Ryanair will be competing head to head with Air France on this new route offering fares that are 70% cheaper than the “rip-off” flag carrier.
Speaking today at the announcement, Ryanair’s Sales and Marketing Manager for Europe, Sinead Finn said:
“We are very excited by our new Strasbourg route and we expect to carry over 200,000 passengers in our first year of operation. For the first time ever passengers travelling to and from Strasbourg and London can now avail of low fares with Ryanair which are 70% cheaper than those currently offered by Air France.
We will continue offering choice and low fare competition to Air France and all of Europe’s high fare carriers. As the comparative fares show, UK and French consumers have been and are still being ripped off by the high fare carriers.

Once again we are providing unbeatable value for UK consumers travelling to France and the rest of Europe proving that you will never beat a Ryanair fare.
Our Winter Schedule sees increased frequency on our routes from London Stansted to Milan and Rome delivering not only the lowest fares on every route we operate but also the widest choice to our consumers, proving that there is only one real low fares airline in Europe - RYANAIR.”
