ARLINGTON, Va.—US Airways will reduce its number of daily departures by about 13% by year`s end, the airline confirmed Aug. 22.
It is eliminating about 130 of its 1,550 daily departures in September and about 70 more before the end of the year, but the airline said it will continue to serve 203 of its 204 destinations (Saginaw, Mich., is the lone exception).

US Airways also plans to reduce its mainline fleet by about 10%, from 311 today to about 280 by year`s end.
