LOT Intensifies Co-Operation With American Airlines

LOT Polish Airlines and American Airlines have signed a co-operation agreement regarding the frequent flyer programme. The contract provides for passengers of one of the largest airlines in the USA – American Airlines – participants of the AAdvantage loyalty programme to be able to collect and spend their miles on travels with all LOT flights.
According to the agreement between American Airlines and Qualiflyer Loyalty Ltd., LOT passengers participating in the Qualiflyer programme are also able to collect and spend miles on flights with the American carrier. The agreement with American Airlines will render the LOT offer to passengers travelling on transatlantic routes remarkably more attractive.

The frequent flyer programme co-operation relates to the code-share agreement which provides for both airlines to offer flights to 14 cities in the USA and 2 in Poland. Currently LOT and American Airlines offer flights between New York, Chicago, Boston, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Syracuse, Washington, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, Warsaw and Krakow. LOT has been co-operating with American Airlines since September 1996 – initially on routes from Miami and Los Angeles to Warsaw via New York.

According to the agreement, American Airlines operate the domestic connections in the USA, whereas PLL LOT offer transatlantic flights between Poland and New York (JFK and Newark airports) and Chicago.
