As a result of the personal intervention of Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek, the Minister of Finance - on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Poland - has granted the government guarantee, requested by the carrier on 21 September 2001. In connection with this decision, LOT Polish Airlines are maintaining all air operations as scheduled.
