President And CEO Of Lot Elected By IATA

The most important airline organization in the world, International Air Transport Association, have chosen a new Board of Governors during their 55th annual general meeting on June 1st in Rio de Janeiro. For the first time in their history, a representative of LOT Polish Airlines, President and CEO Jan Litwinski, has been elected a member.


The Board of IATA consists of the Presidents of the 26 largest airlines in the world. Among the new members are the CEO`s of Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways, American Airlines, United Airlines, Singapore Airlines, and Cathay Pacific.


The new board reflects the most extensive airline alliance now existing in the world.


The participation of LOT`s representative in the IATA board is a unique distinction, as well as an acknowledgment of the significant achievements of LOT Polish Airlines.


When choosing new members of the board, the IATA authorities consider seasoned professionalism, extensive experience, and breadth of knowledge of worldwide airline matters.

Mr. Jan Litwinski has also been a member of The Council of Human Resources.
