easyJet.com is one of the most visited travel web sites according to independent figures for October released by leading online research specialist, Jupiter MMXI.

The report, which measures Internet usage from home, revealed easyJet.com to be the second most visited travel site in October 2001, beaten only by Lastminute.com. In addition, easyJet.com was the busiest low-cost airline site, with 604,000 unique visitors compared to Ryanair`s 534,000 and Go`s 490,000. Britishairways.com came only sixth in the rankings, with 466,000 unique visitors.

With around 90% of all sales made online, easyJet sells more seats via the Internet than any other airline in the world, and can rightly claim to be “the web`s favourite airline”. By using the Internet as its main distribution channel, easyJet has been able to drive down the cost of selling seats, allowing it to pass on the benefits to consumers in the form of lower fares.
