With almost 90% of all its bookings made through the Internet, easyJet has a higher proportion of online sales than any other airline in the world, and continues to lead the field in e-commerce.
The latest analysis from leading Internet research company Jupiter MMXI reveals that more and more people in the UK are researching and booking their holidays online - and easyJet.com is named as one of the top travel sites in the report.
According to the research, over four and a half million Britons are logging on to find a flight or book a holiday - a trend that owes much to the pioneering Internet developments made by easyJet.
easyJet was one of the first airlines to recognise the potential of the Internet, and was an early adopter of online technology when it sold its first flight through the web in April 1998. Since then, easyJet has sold over 10 million seats online, and can rightly claim to be “the web`s favourite airline”.
