Delta Air Lines Discounts Travel to Europe, India, Japan,Latin America and the Caribbean with One Re

Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) today introduced a two-day-only sale for travel at exceptional discounts to destinations in Europe, India, Japan, Latin America and the Caribbean. The special fares are available for travel in the Coach cabin or in Business Class. Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 8, 2002.
“These sale fares provide such great value in both our Coach and Business classes we can only offer them for two days,” said Harlan Bennett, Delta’s vice president - Revenue Management. “For vacationing customers who have never experienced Delta’s premium BusinessElite service before, now is their chance to do so at generous savings as our Business class sale fares are as much as $6,000 off the full round-trip price.”
Some sale fares require advance purchase, have minimum and maximum stays and are nonrefundable. Travel must originate in the United States.
A portion of travel may be on the following Delta Connection® carriers: Atlantic Coast Airlines, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Chautauqua, Comair, SkyWest and codeshare partner American Eagle; SkyTeam partner Aeromexico.
Restrictions: Tickets are non-transferable. Seats are limited and fares may not be available on all flights or in all markets. Purchase Requirements: Sale fares from the U.S. to Europe/India in Economy class require a 21 day advance purchase for travel from 9/5/02 - 3/31/03 and 7 day advance purchase for travel through 9/4/02; Business Class Sale fares for travel 9/6/02 - 3/31/02 require a 30 day advance purchase. Fares shown are round trip and require round-trip purchase. Ticketing Period: Purchases at delta.com must be made at time of reservations confirmation but no later than 8/8/02 and must be paid for using credit card/check card only. For tickets not purchased at delta.com, sale fare tickets must be purchased no later than 8/8/02. Changes/Standby: Wholly unused sale fare tickets: Although sale fares are nonrefundable, the customer may apply value of fare to any applicable higher International published fare type plus applicable fare difference less a penalty of $150 for Asia, $200 for Europe/India and $100 for Latin American/Caribbean. Partially used tickets: Date/Time changes only. For travel to Europe/India on sale fares, allowed only on return portion of itinerary for a fee $200 for travel 8/15/02 - 3/31/02 in Economy class and 9/6/02 - 3/3102 in Business class as long as rule requirements are satisfied. For travel to Caribbean, Latin America/Asia on sale fares, allowed on return portion of itinerary for a fee $100 per change ($150 for Asia) plus applicable fare difference, as long as rule requirements are satisfied. All changes must be made prior to the original date/time of departure. Fares offered on delta.com do not apply for reissue/downgrade of previously purchased tickets. Same day standby is not allowed. Taxes/Fees: Fares do not include a $3.00 Federal Excise Tax which will be imposed on each flight segment of your itinerary. A flight segment is defined as a takeoff and a landing. Fares do not include Passenger Facility Charge(s) of up to $18.00, depending on itinerary, and September 11th Security Fee of up to $10.00 per round-trip.
