easyJet.com is the second most popular travel site in the UK according to a report to be issued today by MMXI Europe, a leading independent Internet audience measurement company.

According to the report, first highlighted in yesterday`s Sunday Telegraph, lastminute.com is still the most visited travel and entertainment site but has experienced a decline in visitors in the last month.

In contrast, the number of people visiting easyJet.com continues to rise. 75% of the airline`s tickets are now booked over the Internet - a figure which reached as high as 85% a couple of weeks ago due to highly successful Internet promotions.

The MMXI Europe report is based on the usership habits of its own panel of 4,500 surfers, rather than auditing web sites by their own record of hits.
