A Record Week For The Web`s Favourite Airline As easyjet Internet Sales Exceed 80%

easyJet celebrates yet another new record in Internet sales by breaking through the 80% barrier for the first time in the airline`s history.

During the week ending 6 August 2000, easyJet sold 132,371 seats online which accounted for 80.6% of all seats for the period. This excellent performance was boosted by the success of the Internet flight offer run in conjunction with the Daily Telegraph, as well as the first full week of bookings for Winter 2000/01 seats.

easyJet Internet sales continue to show sustained growth - just a year ago web sales represented only 38% of all sales. This latest achievement represents another important landmark in the airline`s strategic plan to eventually sell all seats online.
