easyJet Takes Delivery Of 17th Aeroplane

easyJet has just taken delivery of another brand new Boeing 737-300, which takes the fleet size to seventeen aircraft. Next month, a further aircraft arrives at London Luton Airport, which is the final delivery of an order for twelve brand new aircraft, at a cost of approximately $500 million.


The 737 is the best selling commercial jet of all time, made popular because of its efficiency and cost effectiveness. By building up a uniform fleet, easyJet are able to keep fares low, as costs for spares and training are reduced.


easyJet is committed to maintaining one of the world`s youngest fleets, and have placed an order for fifteen next-generation 737-700 aircraft for delivery by the year 2003, with an option on a further fifteen.
