Britannia Appoints New Director Engineering & Maintenance.

Britannia Airways, the world`s leading holiday airline, has appointed Nick White as Director Engineering and Maintenance. Nick (43) who replaces Bernard Newton started his career as an engineering apprentice at Britannia in 1975, and has held a number of senior positions within the airline.


Nick who is based at Britannia Engineering HQ at Luton Airport, has enjoyed an interesting and varied career at Britannia. His experience included a one year attachment to Boeing in Seattle in the late 1980’s where he was one of an elite group taken from airlines around the world to develop the “Ageing fleet Program” looking at specific maintenance issues for Boeing aircraft over twenty years old.

Nick said of his new appointment, “It’s great to be in a position to be able to make a difference, my team has all the right ingredients for success and I believe we have a great future ahead”.


Nick who is married with two teenage daughters lives locally to Luton Airport and when not at work enjoys relaxing with his family, keeping fit and admits to being a bit of a DIY and gardening enthusiast.
