America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA)
announced today that it has revised its travel agent commission structure for
all tickets issued in the United States and Canada effective 12:01 a.m. (PDT),
August 28, 2001.

Under the new structure, travel agents issuing tickets in the United
States for travel within the United States and between the United States and
Canada will receive a five percent commission, capped at $20 for roundtrip
travel and $10 for one-way travel.

Travel agents issuing tickets in Canada for travel between the United
States and Canada and within the United States will receive a five percent
commission, capped at $28 (CAD) for round-trip travel and $14 (CAD) for
one-way travel.
