America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today
announced the election of Jacqueline La Vista as vice president, inflight
services. La Vista`s overall responsibility is to provide leadership and
strategic direction for this division, which encompasses inflight programs,
food and beverage service, policies, procedures and regulatory compliance
issues, and oversight of the flight attendant workforce.
“Jacqueline`s role will employ her extensive airline experience and her
strong management capabilities,” said Anthony Mule, senior vice president,
customer service. “We are pleased to welcome Jacqueline to the team.”
La Vista`s 32-year airline career began with United Airlines where she
started as a flight attendant and served in many inflight services areas
including director of operations at 14 domestic and international crew bases.
After United and prior to joining America West, La Vista served as vice
president of customer service for American Trans Air. La Vista earned a
bachelor of science degree from the University of Arizona.
