America West Airlines today announced
that Rick O. Oehme has joined the Company as vice president of base
maintenance. Oehme will direct all activities related to the Airline`s
component, equipment and powerplant maintenance departments as well as the
technical services, materials and heavy maintenance, operations development
and maintenance planning and administration groups.

said Gil Mook, executive vice president, operations group and chief operating
officer. “His impressive career, covering all aspects of commercial aircraft
maintenance and modification, will be a valuable addition to the airline.”
Oehme has more than 16 years experience in commercial aircraft
maintenance, most recently as president of AeroCorp Macon, Inc., a Georgia-
based commercial aircraft maintenance and modification company. Beginning as
an airframe and powerplant mechanic, Oehme, over the course of his career
gained extensive experience in maintenance, marketing, sales and customer
service. He holds an aviation maintenance technology A & P license from Embry
Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, Fla.
