America West Appoints Kent Hollinger Vice President, Quality Assurance And Engineering

America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) today
announced the appointment of Kent Hollinger to the newly created office of
vice president, quality assurance and engineering.  Hollinger will be
responsible for the engineering functions of the Airline as well as oversight
of aircraft induction, operations audits, records management and coordination
of Federal Aviation Administration compliance activities.
 
“Kent`s extensive engineering and airline industry background will provide
the leadership we`re looking for in our engineering and quality assurance
operations,” said Ron Aramini, senior vice president, operations.
 
In addition to directing the internal engineering and quality assurance
areas, Hollinger will serve as the primary contact to interface with industry
and governmental compliance groups including the Federal Aviation
Administration, Department of Transportation, Department of Defense and the
Air Transport Association for the engineering and quality assurance areas.
