On December 2, 1999 the SITA-Foundation (“SITA”) decided to divest part of its shares in Equant through a secondary public offering. On December 20, Alitalia Group sold 342,595 Equant shares to SITA at USD 90.91 per share, which shares have been sold in the secondary public offering. The net book profit is estimated to be approximately 56 bln lire.

After sale of this second tranche, the Alitalia group, through its SITA membership, remains the owner of 674,066 Equant shares.
