Bernie Cahill Assumes Executive Chairman Role In Aer Lingus Group

Aer Lingus today announced that Bernie Cahill will assume the position of Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Mr Cahill will continue in this role until the appointment of a new Group Chief Executive.
Mr Cahill who has been Chairman of the Aer Lingus Group since 1991 has previously filled the role of Executive Chairman between 1993 and 1995.


The announcement was made following the decision by the company`s Group Chief Executive Mr Gary McGann to take up a senior appointment with the Jefferson Smurfit Group. Mr McGann relinquishes his executive responsibilities with Aer Lingus immediately.
