Air France Cargo Announces The Abolition Of Its Fuel Surcharge

On 24 December 2001, Air France Cargo will be abolishing its fuel surcharge. This amount was equivalent to 0.10 euros per kg in Europe, and 0.10 USD per kg for the rest of the world.
The current world situation will lead Air France Cargo during the first quarter of 2002 to explore, together with its freight and export partners, possible future arrangements in the event of new increases in the price of fuel.
Air France Cargo is the fourth largest carrier worldwide for air cargo transport. With a fleet of 242 aircraft, including 12 Boeing 747-200 freighters, Air France Cargo offers 1,700 daily flights to 208 destinations worldwide, and carried over the fiscal year 2000-2001 the equivalent of close to 5.38 billion freight tonne-kilometres.
