On 2 April 2001, Air France launched its new web agency. Its brief was to develop all of Air France`s Internet and Intranet projects.
This workplace will bring together all the key players in a single structure, and will be organized in such a way as to pool the Company`s skills. By adopting a multi-channel distribution approach, Air France will benefit from a fully integrated technological solution to develop its on-line sales.
This direct collaboration between process and technical operators will reduce the decision-making cycle for web projects and will speed up design and production, giving impetus to the content of the sites and offering new targeted services.
27 March 2001 marked the first stage in the revamping of Air France Internet sites, a considerable breakthrough in the relationship between Air France and its French web customers. From now on, a new web site will enable each individual customer to directly obtain personalized information. Using a login and password to access the new section `My Air France`, each customer will be able to create his or her own private space and access targeted services. Information about their destination (weather update, practical information, events, exchange rate, vaccinations etc.) will also be available.
