Virgin BluePassengers Have The Option To Bug Off With Europcar

Virgin Blue today announced a nationwide partnership with Europcar, offering Virgin Blue Guests special car rental rates to zoom off in a VW Bug, Audi TT or any of Europcar’s other great rental vehicles.

The new relationship illustrates Virgin Blue’s commitment to outstanding customer service, with Virgin Blue confident Guests will benefit from great prices, genuine special deals, and the service offered by Europcar.

Tim Jordan, Virgin Blue’s newly appointed Head of Commercial Distribution said, “It’s exciting to be joining forces with Europcar and to be able to offer our Guests the extra service option of affordable stylish car rental.

He continued, “As much as Virgin Blue is now a nationwide airline, we don’t service every city and town in the country as yet and therefore, we consider it a bonus for our Guests if we can offer them affordable land as well as air travel.”

Delta Europcar executive chairman, Mario Salvo said they welcome the alliance with a like-minded aggressive new entrant in the Australian travel industry.

“As well as having representatives and vehicles at all Virgin Blue ports, we offer Virgin Blue travellers access to our wide selection of vehicles all over Australia through branches in the suburbs, key regional centres and Accor hotels,” he said.

By teaming with a flexible car rental partner like Europcar, Virgin Blue has also managed to break some rules by negotiating special deals for passengers.

Tim Jordan said, “As a standard service, Guests will be offered extra kilometres when travelling in country and remote areas. This is in addition to special one-way rentals, and a time saving Express Service, that cuts out the normal rental car check-in procedures for corporate travellers”.

He concluded, “And while Europcar offers a full range of conventional vehicle rental types and sizes, we expect the company’s fun VW Beetle and Golf, the sleek and sexy Audi TT and the adventurous Toyota Rav4 will be particularly attractive to our Guests”.

Bookings can be made by calling: 1300 136 737.

Virgin Blue currently services every State and Territory in the country. The airline recently announced an $8.2-million trading profit for the half year ending September and is currently expending its fleet of brand new next Generation Boeing 737 aircraft.
