Ulrike Schlosser takes over as Vice President Investor Relations
Stephan Gemkow (41) has been appointed Senior Vice President Corporate Finance at Deutsche Lufthansa AG. On 1 July he assumes responsibility for Treasury, Corporate Finance and the Group`s Liquidity and Financial Planning.
Gemkow was latterly Vice President Investor Relations, a post he took up in 1997 after Lufthansa was fully privatised.
Having served his apprenticeship as a bank clerk, Gemkow studied Business Administration in Paderborn and Northfield/Minnesota, USA, and began his professional career as a management consultant at a renowned German auditing company. In 1990 he joined Lufthansa, working initially in Corporate Organisation and Strategy. Until 1997 he held various management positions at Lufthansa, both in Germany and abroad.
His successor as head of the Investor Relations department is Ulrike Schlosser (46). She has been with the company since 1974, when she took an apprenticeship as an air traffic management assistant. Ulrike Schlosser can look back on many years` experience in management positions within the Group. After a number of different functions at Lufthansa Cargo, she played a major role in setting up a network management system at Lufthansa German Airlines, and from 1998 was in charge of the Network Management department. During this time she also chaired the Star Alliance Revenue Management Committee.
