Delta Connection will offer customers jet service between the Florida cities of West Palm Beach and Tallahassee beginning Sept. 1, 2002. Delta Connection carrier Comair will operate two daily, nonstop round-trip flights between the cities using Canadair regional jets (CRJ).
“This new service will help meet the needs of our customers’ busy schedules,” said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive officer, Delta Connection, Inc. “By providing easy access between West Palm Beach and Tallahassee, Florida’s state capital, Delta Connection can help customers whether they are vacationing or doing business.”
Known for its convenience, comfort and speed, the CRJ carries passengers in a two-by-two seating arrangement; every seat is an aisle or window, with no middle seats. The plane can cruise at a speed of 530 mph at altitudes as high as 41,000 feet and is recognized as the quietest commercial jet aircraft in the world.
Delta Connection carriers include wholly owned subsidiaries Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Comair, and additional regional carriers Atlantic Coast Airlines, Chautauqua Airlines and SkyWest. Delta Connection carriers operate more than 250 regional jets throughout North America. For more information, please contact comair.com
