Continental Airlines Reports March Load Factor

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today
reported a 75.3 percent systemwide load factor in March 2001.  Continental
flew 5.7 billion revenue passenger miles (RPMs) and 7.5 billion available seat
miles (ASMs) in March 2001, resulting in a traffic increase of 0.2 percent and
a capacity increase of 2.4 percent versus March 2000.  Domestic traffic was
3.5 billion RPMs, up 0.9 percent from March 2000, and domestic capacity was
4.6 billion ASMs, up 2.4 percent from last year.

Continental Express, Continental`s wholly owned regional subsidiary,
reported its second highest March load factor of 62.5 percent, 0.8 points
below last year`s record March load factor.  Continental Express flew
277.6 million RPMs and 444.5 million ASMs in March, resulting in a traffic
increase of 14.7 percent and a capacity increase of 16.2 percent versus March
2000.
