Cathay Pacific Named One Of Hong Kong`s Leading Companies

Cathay Pacific Airways has been named one of Hong Kong` four leading companies and Hong Kong’s premier company in terms of high quality services in a survey conducted by the Far Eastern Economic Review. The survey also placed Cathay Pacific as one of Asia` leading 200 companies.

The Review 200 survey asked more than 3,800 executives and professionals throughout Asia to rank major corporations in terms of corporate leadership over the past year. The targeted respondents are asked to complete comprehensive questionnaires evaluating the companies in terms of service and quality, management vision, innovation, financial soundness, and the degree that other companies try to emulate them. The survey has been held for the last eight years.

Cathay Pacific`s fourth place ranking overall placed it along with Hutchison Whampoa, Cheung Kong (Holdings), and Mass Transit Railway Corp as the leading four companies in Hong Kong. In being ranked as providing the highest quality services and products, Cathay Pacific was rated ahead of Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La Asia, and Hang Seng Bank. Cathay Pacific was ranked second in terms of companies that others try to emulate.

Speaking at last week`s award ceremony, Cathay Pacific Director and Chief Operating Officer Philip Chen said: “We are certainly honoured to be named as one of Asia`s leading companies. This is a tribute to all our staff for the hard work they put in to ensure we deliver the best service in the world to our passengers.”
