Air Canada flew 1,970 million revenue passenger miles (RPMs) in May 1999, a decrease of 2.2 per cent from 2,014 million RPMs in May 1998.
Total capacity for the month decreased by 2.7 per cent on a year-over-year basis. Total available seat miles (ASMs) for May 1999 were 2,712 million compared to 2,787 million in May 1998.
The network passenger load factor for May 1999 was 72.6 per cent, up 0.3 percentage points from the 72.3 per cent reported in May 1998.
System cargo traffic for the month was 67 million revenue ton miles, compared with 72 million revenue ton miles in May 1998.
