FORT WORTH, Texas - American Airlines will add nonstop service between Chicago’s Midway Airport and New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Sept. 4. Three daily round trips will be flown with 87-seat Fokker F100 jets, outfitted with American’s exclusive “More Room Throughout Coach” configuration. The new LaGuardia flights complement American’s existing five daily round-trip flights between Midway and its Dallas/Fort Worth hub.

“Our new service from Midway will be especially convenient to our customers who live near Chicago’s South Side airport,” said Thomas Aichele, American’s managing director-Passenger Sales in Chicago. “These flights will allow business travelers to get into Manhattan for a lunch meeting and then return home the same day. And the leisure traveler will find the flights convenient for quick weekend trips to New York, as well.”
