Air Canada is introducing daily service to Dubai and Abu Dhabi via Frankfurt on a codeshare basis with Star Alliance partner, Lufthansa. Air Canada`s new daily service comes into effect August 30 and will offer travellers a fast and convenient link between major cities across Canada and the two United Arab Emirates destinations. Seats are now available for sale.
“This new codeshare service expands Air Canada`s international network and offers customers more travel choices in the Middle East with some of the fastest travel times currently available,” said Danielle Poudrette, Air Canada`s Vice President, Marketing. “It also builds on the airline`s successful partnership with fellow Star Alliance member, Lufthansa. With this new service, Air Canada now offers customers 24 cities beyond Frankfurt with Lufthansa.”
Air Canada`s daily flights between Toronto/Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver and Frankfurt will offer conveniently-timed flights for customers connecting to and from both United Arab Emirates destinations. The daily Frankfurt-Dubai-Abu Dhabi service, operated by Lufthansa, offers customers a wide range of advantages including: accumulation and redemption of Aeroplan frequent flyer points, advance seat selection in both business and economy class cabins.
Air Canada`s service has received a number of international awards including `Best Airline for Travel to Canada` voted by readers of Business Traveler International magazine. In addition, Air Canada was voted best Passenger Service airline in the world by Air Transport World magazine and was also honoured with four distinctions at the 1999 OAG Airline of the Year Awards including Best North American Domestic Airline.
